Who I am…

I purchased Peppermint Acres in 2009 with the desire to create my own slice of heaven here in West Virginia. Although it was much loved and cherished by the previous owners, things had fallen into a bit of disrepair around the farm.  Shortly after the purchase of the farm, I suffered a miscarriage that (looking back) spiraled me into a severe depression.  Ultimately, I ended up getting a divorce in 2015 and have since set about rediscovering myself and the life I love.  This blog is my dedication to my life, my farm, and the continued development of both.

Currently, I have a very limited number of Heritage breed Dominique eggs available for hatching. Contact me for more info and possible chicks!
Lots of changes and development in the works! Please feel free to leave comments and suggestions on my posts—keeping the principles of permaculture farming in mind 🙂
